SWTC Director / Head Coach I have been involved in tennis my whole life after I began playing at the age of 3yrs. I went on to play tennis competitively beginning with local tournaments. Then into Australian Ranking tournaments which included Nationals, following on with ITF tournaments with my best Junior result being making it to the Semi Final’s of the Australian Open Junior’s in 2006. I was a NSWIS athlete for many years, I travelled around Europe on an Australian Tour to train and play tournaments. My best rankings were top 15 nationally and top 75 ITF world Junior Ranking. I was lucky enough to be coached by some of Australia’s best coaches including Wally Maseur, Peter Tramachi, Pat Rafter & Graeme Brimblecome and like to think I learnt a lot of what I put into my coaching today from those great coaches. I have experienced a lot of tennis through coaching also. I was the travelling ATP tour coach for Greg Jones in 2011, it was an unbelievable experience, we travelled Canada & the US playing months of tournaments including the US Open where Greg lost in the final round of the Qualifiying but managed his career high ATP ranking of 151. I was in a great company of coaches including Pat Rafter, Roger Rasheed, Jason Stoltenburg, Todd Woodbridge and Mark Woodford. That has helped make me the coach I am today. I was then a private & travelling coach for a top level Sydney Junior player for 2 years. We travelled around Australia playing Nationals and ITF tournaments. I took her overseas many times for ITF tournaments as well. Owning and operating my own tennis centre has always been a goal of mine, tennis is my passion and I have a true love for the sport. I enjoy coaching players of all ages and standards and helping them improve in all aspects of their game whether it be technically, physically or mentally. I would love to be able to find a young player to coach and guide to play through the Australian circuit, through to the ITF circuit and eventually onto the Professional circuit where I can travel with them, pass on all my knowledge and coach them to be the best player they can be. We already have a few potentials on their way.

Monique Lynch
SWTC Director / Head Coach I grew up in Temora in regional NSW. I started playing tennis at the age of 8 and my talent and potential was noticed almost immediately. At 10 years I was chosen to train at Tennis NSW State Squad with NSW’s best Juniors, and by the time I was 12 my parents were doing the 4.5hour drive twice a week. I started playing local Junior tournaments in the Riverina area, before playing AMT and moving onto National tournaments around Australia. When I was 15 I was chosen to be a NSWIS (NSW institute of Sport) athlete and I made the big step of relocating to Cronulla so I could be closer to the best coaches and facilities to further my tennis career. I was lucky enough to be coached by some of the best coaches in Australia including Wally Masur, Peter Tramacchi, Graeme Brimblecombe, Clint Newcomb, Nicole Arendt, Ryan Henry and Akos Pandurics. When I was 15 I travelled Europe for 3 months playing ITF & WTA tournaments. I had many great results including qualifying at Australian Challenger events and beating some of Australia’s best. After having a taste for playing on the WTA circuit I travelled Europe again for 2 months the following year having even better results than the year before. While playing in Europe I was in my best form. I acheived my career high ranking of WTA singles 1120, doubles 577, ITF 552 and I was number 6 in Australia. Unfortunately that was when I tore the cartilage in my left knee and had to come home for treatment. After having a few months off I came back onto the tour but her knee was never the same. After another year of painful tennis she seeked advice and a MRI showed a protrusion on her left knee cap, she was told it was something she would have to learn how to manage, also a career ending injury. Unfortunately my dream was over but tennis was still my passion so I went into coaching. I coached at Tennis NSW with the State Squads for 2 years and became Tennis Australia qualified with the Junior Development coaching accreditation. I then did a little bit of coaching in our local area with Ryan but our real goal was to own our own tennis centre, so when the opportunity to take over SWTC came our way we jumped at it. My goal is to run a tennis centre with a happy, friendly and competitive environment where we bring out the best in our players. I would love to produce and coach a professional tennis player.

Beau Petersson
SWTC Coach Hey guys my names Beau Petersson, I’ve been involved in tennis since I was 8 years old. I was always very active, I played a mixture of cricket, tennis and soccer growing up with tennis being the one that really grew on me and eventually stuck! I started coaching at Gilmour’s Tennis Centre in 2005 through till 2008. I became a Tennis Australia qualified and accredited Junior Development coach in 2008 and went on to coach at Homebush for Tennis NSW between 2008-2010. Throughout that time I worked as a State Squad coach, working with elite junior players, coaching members of the general public, general administrative duties and customer service. From 2009-2010 I worked with another Sydney based tennis centre which led to briefly working as a travelling coach within Australia and throughout the Pacific region with an Australian junior player. I started at Sylvania Waters Tennis Centre with Monique and Ryan in mid August 2013 and now moving on 5 years with them. I feel very grateful and honoured to contribute each day and look forward to being an integral part of their business, giving them my all and helping them to continue to grow their already successful tennis centre in which they have created. As a coach apart from the obvious technique that must be taught, I feel that you have to have a good personality and interaction with the student/client to be able to connect and get the best out of them. I'm very much about honing in on the technique side of things, whilst making it fun and challenging them and myself each time as it is important for growth as a player and as a person. I hope this has given you a little insight as to whom and what I am about. I look forward to coaching you or your child at SWTC!
