Jess Martin
Shop Admin Jess makes sure everything runs smoothly at the weekend, one of our busiest time of the week. She also works closely with Coach Tom running the Junior Competition.
Steve Loeffler
Tennis Director Steve has been running tennis centres for over 25 years. He is a former professional player and can still hit a mean forehand! Steve was a top ranked Australian Junior Player before playing professionally in Europe on the ITF circuit. During his time in Europe Steve played for teams in the Dutch Premier Club Tennis League.
Lucy Wood
Performance Coach & Programming Lucy has been involved in Tennis professionally since her Junior career where she reached an ITF Ranking high of 170, and a WTA ranking of 690. Following her junior career Lucy received a full scholarship to play tennis at Tulane University in NOLA, USA. During her time at Tulane University the team were ranked as high as 13 in the NCAA Division 1 rankings. They played in the NCAA finals in 2001 making the sweet 16. Lucy has been coaching tennis for over 20 years and is a qualified Tennis Australia Tennis Coach and LTA coach.
Piotr Haczek
Performance Coach Piotr is a former professional polish tennis player. With his vast coaching background he brings a wealth of experience to White City Tennis. He is a Tennis Australia qualified coach and during the Australian summer of tennis he is a SBS sports reporter sharing his extensive knowledge with SBS Poland listeners.
Danielle Harmsen
Performance Coach Danielle has been coaching tennis full time since she stopped playing on the WTA tour. In addition to being ranked in the top 200 in the world, Danielle has participated in Premiere League Club tennis in Holland & Germany. Danielle standout tennis result was beating WTA top 4 player and Grand Slam Semi-finalist Jelena Dokic.
Javier Espinoza
Senior Coach Javier is a former player from Chile, he participated in National tournaments throughout his Junior career and while at University. His degree was in teaching and physical education. Javier loves to see the progression in his students over the course of their coaching. Working with them to achieve their goals is very rewarding.
Andrea Clementini
Performance Coach Andrea is a professional tennis coach originally from Italy. He is also a former top level Italian player, participating in Serie A1 in 2013 and Serie A2 in 2015. He is an ITF level 2 certified tennis coach and an ITF level 1 certified coach in Padel. Andrea also has a Masters Degree in Sports Management. Andrea began coaching tennis at 19 years old. He has experience coaching all levels from beginner to advanced players. Andrea worked primarily at tennis clubs and academies in Italy, but he also worked at the world renowned Juan Carlos Ferrero Academy – Spain.
Kara Day
Kara heads up our Administration team. She has been running the operations at tennis centres in Australia and the UK for more than 10 years. Kara also loves to play tennis playing weekly in our Adult morning groups.
Lorenzo Pineda
Performance Coach Hailing from Vanuatu, Lorenzo was awarded a tennis scholarship at the ITF Oceania Regional Training Centre in Fiji and travelled the world competing in junior tennis tournaments for five years. Following this he received a tennis scholarship in the USA, to play college tennis. Highlights from his career include, representing Vanuatu in various Oceania tennis tournaments and to have been part of the national team that won a gold medal at the 2017 South Pacific Games. Following college, Lorenzo coaches for nearly a decade in Japan. Lorenzo has been in Australia for the past 2 years. As a coach, he emphasises the importance of having fun and enjoying the game. He believes that when players are relaxed and enthusiastic, they perform at their best.
Hector Hernandez
Performance Coach Hector has been coaching for more than 6 years in Australia and Spain. He played US College Tennis for 1 year before completing his University studies in Spain. As well as his coaching experience, Hector has worked as a professional hitting partner for WTA and ATP players including Paula Badosa, Alina Blosova and Pol Toledo. Hector loves coaching players of all ages and skill levels, Hector says, “my coaching philosophy centres around developing players technical skills, strategic understanding and mental resilience all while fostering a positive and engaging environment.
Phil Gilbert
Senior Coach Phil has over 30 years experience coaching tennis. He has played competitive division 1 club tennis since his teenage years. Phil has also won the club championship A1 event on 2 occasions.
